A Look Back on 2023 and What's Ahead in 2024

As 2023 comes to a close, Patchworks reflects on a year of remarkable achievements and strategic milestones, solidifying its position as a leading player in the integration platform landscape.

Here are just a few of the many achievements the Patchworks team have accomplished this year:

  • Impressive Financial Performance: As at end of November the company witnessed a 70% Year-over-Year Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth and 120% Net Revenue Retention (NRR), demonstrating the demand for Patchworks' solutions and retailer reliance on our integration platform.

  • Transformation to Pure SaaS-based iPaaS Platform: Patchworks underwent a transformative journey, evolving into a pure SaaS based iPaaS provider that uses partners for project delivery. Their in-house services team continues to support existing customers, and can scale to work with agencies globally on new integration delivery using their latest platform services.

  • New Platform Release: A milestone moment for Patchworks as they launched their latest integration services.  Based on a no-code / low-code design ethos to encourage self-service or agency delivered integrations, the platform now includes a library of 80+ pre-built system connectors, a connector builder to connect to anything with an API, and an innovative app store for pre-built full integrations. This empowers businesses to seamlessly integrate their systems with minimal effort and supports global scalability with local providers.

  • MACH Alliance Membership: The admissions process for joining the MACH alliance is increasingly difficult as the technical requirements to be Micro-service, API first, Cloud native and Headless (MACH) are strict requirements only reserved for the latest technologies.  In May, the MACH alliance recognised Patchworks as one of the few modern iPaaS platforms by accepting their application. A stamp of approval that Patchworks is an industry acknowledged secure option, to be the centre of an integration architecture.

  • Global Recognition and Appreciation: Patchworks' efforts have been globally recognised, with a growing roster of esteemed clients including Ted Baker, Triumph Motorbikes, Scotch and Soda, World of Books, Loop Earplugs, bareMinerals, Laura Mercer, Stoov, PUCCI, Patta, Trinny London, In the Style, and more. In addition, Patchworks was recognised as New Partner of the Year at the Lightspeed awards in October.

  • Established Partnership Strategy: Finally, the key change at Patchworks on the back of the new platform is attracting new partners to deliver integrations using our software. With the addition of Simeon Wynn as technology partner manager, ISV partners are keen to be part of the Patchworks ecosystem, and connector builder makes it possible for them to build their own connectors, as we’ve seen with Klayvio and ShipBob, and be certain they can easily integrate to the other Patchworks partners. Fraser Clilverd as agency partner manager lead, continues to train and attract more agency partners around the world to deliver reliable, secure integrations using Patchworks platform.  The platform is designed to be partner first including the ability to duplicate across multiple customer accounts to create reference architectures that can be easily rolled out.

Looking Ahead to 2024: Patchworks Sets the Stage for Unprecedented Growth and Innovation

As we bid farewell to a year of unparalleled achievements, Patchworks stands poised for sustained growth and global expansion in 2024.

As they engage with industry leaders, thought influencers, and potential collaborators, they look forward to sparking new connections that will fuel their growth trajectory.

  • Inaugural Partner Sales Kick Off in February: Patchworks is excited to announce its inaugural Partner Sales Kick-Off, in London on the 8th February 2024. This event serves as a testament to their commitment to building strong and collaborative relationships with their partners. By fostering a community that thrives on shared success and mutual growth, they aim to further enhance their ecosystem and provide even more value to their clients.

  • Ongoing delivery: The first quarter of 2024 will witness Patchworks' delivering more features on the roadmap including a platform SDK, private app-store for agencies, event publish and subscribe and numerous enhancements to the platform based on customer and partner feedback.  In addition, there are numerous large brand launches, and the launch of the commercial app store that will allow partners to build and publish apps and take advantage of a commercial arrangement for each install. Stay tuned for announcements on Patchworks product and delivery and on participation in key events where Patchworks will delve into emerging trends, share experiences, and connect with industry peers.

As they embark on these exciting ventures, Patchworks is demonstrating its thought leadership in the integration space derived from years of experience from before the dot com boom. The first quarter of 2024 promises to be a dynamic period of growth, collaboration, and innovation. They invite their clients, partners, and the wider Patchworks community to join them on this journey as they continue to simplify integrations for businesses worldwide.
